10/01/2010 --- The work above is something I feel good about. I wasn't given much time to finish the piece but nonetheless I am proud to have my name attached to it. My boss heard of my dissatisfaction working on two prior videos. I said straight out that if I had to give those other two videos a grade they would've been an F minus. They ran counter to everything that I have learned in marketing and advertising. They were chock full of verbal diarrhea, boring features, mind-numbing statistics, and enough ego bragging to repulse any sane customer.
I come from a school of thought that says you have to speak to the customer in the only language they understand, that of, "what's in it for me?" Customers buy ONLY when their psychological triggers have been engaged. They find attraction only in benefits that serve them. Anything else is a waste of time, energy, and money.
So, hearing this, my boss gave me carte blanche to do whatever I wanted. I got permission to write a new script using my psychological method of advertising and I did just that. I created a list of WHY customers buy products and from that psychological profile I created my script. I worked with psychology. I worked with STORY. I fought to keep the human element intact.

04/07/2010 --- Of interest to all heads of industry, this is an example of how the company I work for uses animation and 3D design. Sometimes a pencil sketch just won't work, you have to have something that allows you to see what you're working with. I produced these 3D models scaled correctly, down to the inch and sent a camera flying around them in a 360. We did this to ensure that our demonstration models would correctly fit within the 8' X 10' foot area that we were assigned for an upcoming tradeshow. Total amount of time spent from start to finish, to model, animate, and post the Flash online, was only 7 hours!

03/20/2010 --- The above is an 18 second tape trailer animation that I created in Carrara, no sound. When I originally began the project for Global Rail Systems, Inc., their logo was a track logo against a red planet. The very week that I finished the short clip they were bought out by Vossloh North America and their logo, color scheme, and branding completely changed forcing me to recreate the scene.
The more I watch this, the more the green grows on me!
